Project story
Some homes deserve more than just a fresh coat of paint—they deserve careful craftsmanship that protects their character for years to come. For this historic home in Portsmouth, our team completed a full exterior restoration that began with extensive preparation, including power washing, scraping, sanding, spot priming, re-caulking, and selective carpentry repairs to damaged siding and trim before a single finish coat was applied. We also removed outdated flower box brackets, replaced deteriorated siding with durable AZEK trim where needed, refreshed the detached shed, and finished the project with Benjamin Moore AURA® Exterior paint for exceptional durability and long-term color retention.
The homeowners selected a classic coastal palette featuring Benjamin Moore Wythe Rose (HC-62) for the siding, Cloud White (OC-130) for the trim, and Ashwood Moss (1484) for the front door, foundation, and select accents, creating a warm, welcoming look that complements the home's historic architecture while adding rich contrast and curb appeal. With crisp white trim, restored black window frames, and meticulous attention to every detail, the finished project beautifully blends timeless New England charm with modern protection that's built to last.
